We, Jacqueline and Stijn, are a Dutch couple in our fifties who came to live here in 2007. We are immensely grateful to have found this beautiful place which we enjoy every day. Life is not always easy over here, the Cantal is a depopulating area, which has repercussions on goods and services available, the distances are small in kilometers, but it takes a lot of time to get to anywhere and our accessibility by road could be much improved. Besides this it is a true treasure, in the middle of old deserted meadows and grounds.

We live together with our Yak herd which grows slowly but securely. We cannot wait until we can start to sell our cows, but patience required, this will be in the next few years. But our porc meat is available for you, see at the ‘cochon’ tab. Next to that we live with our chickens, donkeys, cats and of course the animals in the wild, the foxes, boars, merlins, badgers and deer.
